With the Homegrown Music Festival coming up PDD launched a series of polls eight weeks ago, tournament style, to determine which Duluth-area band has the sweetest pic. This week we begin the semifinal round. (Click on any image to see it larger.)

After two days of extended voting due to an initial tie, Breanne Marie has emerged as the victor over Tim Kaiser. Meanwhile, Tangier 57 cruised to an easy win.
So our first quarterfinal is set: Breanne Marie vs. Tangier 57 (starting April 17).
Now I know what Romney feels like…
I blame the singularity for all this. We’re observing the results of an experiment before we conduct the experiment. Please, Paul for all that is scared on this great Earth, do not let the quantum entanglement unravel.
Is the bottom photo an island campsite in the BWCA? As a young person I camped at a site that looked exactly like that.
