UW-Superior Jazz Band and Big Time Jazz Orchestra

The University of Wisconsin-Superior presents its Jazz Band with the Big Time Jazz Orchestra for a scholarship concert. Proceeds from the concert will go toward a scholarship for an incoming student musician for excellence in jazz studies at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The 16-piece UW-Superior Jazz Band will perform a piece by Thad Jones and feature many of the band’s soloists throughout the evening. Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 2017

The National Association of Letter Carriers asks people to fill one or more bags with non-perishable, non-expired food and place them by their mailboxes by 9 a.m. Volunteers will help letter carriers bring in the food and distribute it to area food shelves to restock for the summer months. ALS Walleye Tournament 2017

The 22nd annual ALS Walleye Tournament on Island Lake raises money to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gerhig's disease. About 300 anglers are expected to participate, raising roughly $150,000.
