Spooktacular Fall Festival

The St. Louis County Extension Master Gardeners hosts this specially curated bulb and plant sale featuring daffodils, hyacinth, allium, tulip bulbs, succulents and garlic. Plus, assorted houseplants, demonstrations and expert advice. Bob Olen, the St. Louis County Extension Educator, will host a demonstration on best practices for soil preparation, and local bulb expert, Roger Hill, will be available throughout the event to answer individual questions on planting bulbs.

Holy Assumption Catholic Church presents a fundraising lasagna buffet with salad, garlic bread and desserts. There will be a variety of lasagnas, including sauerkraut, traditional, vegetarian, chicken, seafood and more. A free will offering will be taken for school and orphanage supplies in Kisa and Mbeya, Tanzania.

A night of entertainment, food and inspiring stories to raise funds for the Northern Lights Foundation, which provides financial support to families with children who have life-threatening illnesses. The night begins with social hour at 5:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Dinner is at 7 p.m., followed by a formal program, awards and a live auction.

During Scarium at the Aquarium, guests explore a spookily-decorated Great Lakes Aquarium, visiting trick-or-treat stations among the exhibits and showing off their creative costumes. In addition to exploring the aquarium, guests can participate in a variety of themed activities like building a paper chain snake, boo-gying at the Discovery Center dance party, and watching scuba divers compete in underwater pumpkin carving. Veterans Remembrance Dinner 2024
The St. Louis County Historical Society and its Veterans Memorial Hall program are hosting the 19th annual Veterans Remembrance Dinner. This bazaar is held at the First United Methodist Church. More than 40 area crafters will offer a wide variety of handmade gifts, from jewelry and ceramics to holiday and home décor and Cassia Bud pickles. Hot cinnamon rolls will be available at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Free parking is available in the church’s east parking lot.
