Perfect Duluth Day’s event calendar is the most comprehensive, accurate and informative source for finding out what to do in the Arrowhead region. How do we do it? By employing human beings to pour over event submissions and format/edit them to make the information clear, concise and free of hyperbole.
If you use the PDD Calendar to find events to attend, or if you use it to promote events you organize, or both, consider a donation to help us keep bringing you great content in a timely fashion.
We publish roughly 8,000 events per year, and we want to do more.
Sometimes it takes us weeks to publish a submitted event due to the amount of requests and the limited hours available in our budget to pay staff members. We want to be able to publish everything submitted within three days of receiving it.
Perfect Duluth Day is not a nonprofit and does not receive grant money from the city of Duluth or any government organization. It is a limited liability company that earns the vast majority of its revenue from advertisements that are clearly separated from its editorial content and unobtrusive to the reader. That income does not come close to covering the costs of human resources to keep the website going strong. That’s why we began asking for donations in 2018. By the end of 2019, 82 percent of PDD calendar-worker income came from advertising; 18 percent came from donations. So the donations are a big help.
Our goal is to continue to improve, publishing more and more events with more and more details, maps and sample videos. We need the help of the community to make that happen. Donations of any amount are appreciated.
If you do not wish to pay by credit card using the button above, you can mail a check to Perfect Duluth Day, P.O. Box 7305, Duluth MN 55807. Please note “PDD Calendar donation” on your check.
Remember, PDD is not a nonprofit, so your donation is not tax deductible, but it can be used to solicit hugs, pats on the back or high fives … depending on whom you are asking and which form of affection you seek.
