Every year, faculty, students and guest choreographers offer a variety of dance styles and interpretations around a chosen theme to showcase the talent of the University of Duluth Minnesota's dance community. The Duluth Playhouse presents the iconic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music. Performances run Dec. 1-17. A cast of 40 performers tells this enduring tale of love, family and music. There has been murder! The victim is Samantha Jingle, famous for her holiday hotdish and love of bird sweaters. Jingle was found in her home on Clause Way, right here in Duluth, with a burning hotdish in the oven. The suspects have been assembled. Sundown on the Jasper County Jewel
BOLD-choice Theatre has written an original musical, Sundown on the Jasper County Jewel. Jasper County once had the most illustrious Honkytonk venue in all the country, but years of wear and changing times have put “The Jewel” on the verge of ruin. Through original songs and music, storytelling and reflection, BOLD-choice tells the fictional story of the once-famed Country Western Theatre. BOLD-choice Theatre actors are primarily folks proudly living with disabilities.

World-famous detective Hercule Poirot climbs aboard the extravagant Orient Express, a train packed with the most eccentric passengers ever seen. When a snowdrift stalls the train and a passenger is discovered murdered in his bed, trouble ensues and Poirot must solve the crime before the culprit escapes.
