The Clover Valley Farm Trail is a co-operative group of locally-owned, small farms located in or near Clover Valley, a farming community between Duluth and Two Harbors. The farms offer a variety of produce, plant seedlings, baked goods, crafts and other items sold from self-serve farm stands. Visitors can simply follow the map and posted directional signs to find each farm. This is the trail's second season. Spirit Valley Days is an annual three-day extravaganza celebrating the neighborhood of West Duluth. Thursday's events include the Miss West Duluth pageant1 and the Spirit Valley Days Parade at 6 p.m. Friday's events include a pancake breakfast and the Spirit Valley Days Car Show.

There will be more than 60 orchard and food booths, nearly 100 arts and crafts booths, a kids carnival with games and rides, and more at the 62nd annual Bayfield Apple Festival Oct. 4-6. Apple pies, tarts, tortes, dumplings, caramel apples and ciders galore will fill the streets of Bayfield in a celebration of the autumn harvest and Bayfield’s agricultural heritage. Christmas City of the North Parade 2024
The Christmas City of the North Parade has been an annual holiday tradition in Duluth for six decades. It features marching bands, dance performances, colorful floats and an appearance by Santa Claus. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Fitger’s complex at Sixth Avenue East and Superior Street and continues along Superior Street to Fourth Avenue West. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers free admission to all 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas on four days each year. On Free Park Days the DNR waives the requirement for a vehicle permit to enter state parks and recreation areas. The entrance fee waiver does not cover activities like camping, rentals or tours.
