Soon to reopen as LPOE II. No more pesky ambulance rides.

What happened? I’m out of the loop on this one.

I’m not very familiar with the Twin’s but I know it has a scuzzy reputation. I went there a few times on bar crawls in my college years and never thought it to be any better or worse than other dive bars. Can anyone enlighten me?

Twins bar always had a nice mix of scuzz and college bros/gals. It was interesting.

This really surprises me. I haven’t been there in a few years but it always was packed.

The manager said they weren’t making enough money… surprised me, too.

This is pure speculation, but I wonder if the craft beer explosion has had an impact on more traditional bars. Have people stopped going to regular neighborhood bars because they want locally made beer, along with fresh food?

I have been going quite regularly for the last few years. If having a diverse crowd translates to “skuzzy,” I don’t know what to say. I have never had any problems there and have met many nice people from varying backgrounds. Crowds have dwindled in the last year, I’m guessing because of the other options that have sprung up.

I recall the Twins Bar as the smoky place I had to walk through to use the rest room that also served the Chopsticks Inn.

I’m not surprised that a poorly run business closed.
