Duluth-area Wedding Dress Tailor

I have a friend who lives out of town but is getting married in the area. She mentioned needing to get her dress tailored before the ceremony. I’m looking for someone who is reliable, fast turn around and decent rates. Any recommendations?

There’s a woman and her son who do work above the Bedrock Bar. They made my entire dress w/o a pattern 6 years ago. She also charged me a song, and the dress was lovely.

Of course, her name escapes me, but I’m sure if you stopped at the Bedrock they’d know who she is.

    My bride recommends Pollie Ester.

The only tailor in Duluth worth her weight in salt is Theresa who used to be the owner of Leon’s. She is now located on Superior St in the Men’s store called Columbia Clothing, which will be a snap for you to find if you are from out of town. She’s helped me with my tailoring needs for 26 years and in my book there is no one better.

Ive heard good things about Sew it up in Hermantown and the seamstress who works at the dry cleaner in West Duluth.

I went to Y alterations at the Miller Hill Mall. They had to sew a corset into my wedding dress because I bought it pre-pregnancy and then had to wear it at 4 months pregnant. It only took a few days and was extremely reasonable price-wise.
