Lost Camera
My family has lost its camera, a Canon SD870IS. It should have pictures of us at the Bubble Fest last weekend. That may be where we lost it, but we can’t remember. Please comment or email me, seagroves at gmail dot com, if you think you may have it — we would really really appreciate it!

Duluth Does the Bumpers? Thrift Store Adventures
Last week I saw this album at a thrift store in Hinckley for 50 cents and I didn’t want to have to explain to Mrs. Goose why I bought it so I ended up walking away, despite the bargain. But given Duluth’s various brushes with rubber ball fame (or infamy) I figured maybe someone else might want to stop by and grab it.
I would also like to put this one in the hat for the next Duluth Does album. I would just love to hear Sarah Softich, the Boomchucks and even that Danecdote kid take a swing at some of these tracks. Here’s the title cut:

Tribute Fest 2011
My wife and I had an opportunity to attend the Tribute Fest this year. It is a concert to raise money for homeless Minnesota Veterans. The organization it helps is called the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans. It is the first year it was held at Bayfront Park. We had a lot of fun attending, got very sunburnt and gained a few pounds eating vendor food. This is the end result. A handful of 360 images, 20 or so still photos and a 7-minute video clip of the artists. Please consider attending this event next year as all the proceeds go to a great cause. It’s because of the veterans we live in the great country we have.

Lester Park XC Ski Trails
While walking my dog I noticed pink marker tags on trees marking a route through the woods between the various trails in the Lester XC Ski area. They have been there since May. Does anyone know what they are for? SHT spur? A new ski trail? A snowshoe trail?

Dog and House Sitting
I have been taking care of critters and their homes for about 7-8 years here in Duluth while their owners are on vacation and such and was recently thinking of making up fliers and business cards. Would I have to “register” or something as a business owner? Is there a certain amount of money you need to make to have to pay taxes? I just don’t want to do something illegal by accident. Any help appreciated.
What’s with all the Skeeters?!
Has anybody else being driven crazy by all the mosquitoes in Duluth the past week?! Seriously, it’s like Alaska out there. I can’t work in the yard without getting drained. I can’t ever remember it being this bad. Theories? (Sustained west winds? Moth spraying killed all the dragonflies? Hurricane Irene sucking them all down from northern Canada?)
APB – Another Stolen Motorcycle
My cousin had his bike stolen from the Hillside (9th & 10th Avenue East area) Friday night/Saturday morning. Easily identifiable, 1971 BMW, desert tan paint. Ammo cans were off at time of theft. Please call the DPD if you see this bike, it is one of a kind and hard to miss. Or if you are not the type of person to call the cops, post here or call me at 218-591-five seven ate five.
