YMCA Youth in Government is a youth-led, experiential learning opportunity that involves 1,800 middle school and high school students each year.  The Duluth Area Family YMCA Delegation is still accepting participants. 

Mentor Duluth on Kare-11 Tuesday night

The KARE-11 special tonight from 7-8 p.m. on channel 11 focuses on youth mentoring.  Several mentor programs will be featured including Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities, Parenting with a Purpose, Bolder Options, Kinship of Greater Minneapolis, Northside Achievement Zone, Courage Center and the Y’s Mentor Duluth! 

Program Coordinator for Mentor Duluth, Dave Schaefer will be participating in this TV news event.  Federated Insurance is sponsoring the show.  You will see many familiar faces! A live phone bank will also be part of the call to action.  See the link below for more information.

Olympic Swim Champs Coming to the Y

Gather your friends and family for a Sunday Afternoon of free play at the Y!  The game center will be open from 3:30 to 4:30  on Sundays starting Sept. 11 through Dec. 18. Any and all ages are welcome to participate!
