Google features Angela’s Bella Flora

Google has been increasingly active in Minnesota lately. It joined the Minnesota High Tech Association, has been hiring, and held a series of workshops in St. Paul.

I’m tickled … Angela’s Bella Flora has been featured as part of Google’s Minnesota Get Online initiative.

Google and Android and BarCamp oh my!

Duluth Google Android BarCamp Event

You heard that Duluth didn’t exactly lose the Google Fiber project, right? Seriously. Sergey Brin said it.

A public community information meeting has just been scheduled for tomorrow at the DECC (on the city side.)

Google Twin Ports team members will be available to answer questions and explain what the latest announcements mean for Duluth-Superior.

Thursday, March 31
Google Twin Ports Community Q&A Discussion @ 4:30
Android BarCamp: 10am through 4:30

If you can come for any part of the day, register at AndroidBarCamp.com. (Check out our awesome speaker line-up, too!)

Thank you Verizon Wireless, our Presenting Sponsor;  the College of St. Scholastica, ProFounder, and 3Five Designs! Without the  financial and in-kind support from our event sponsors this event would not be possible.

Google Fiber for Duluth MinnesotaHeads up: Google has created a new mailing list for discussing 1 Gbps fiber Internets in our community. Google employees want to know what we’ll do with it, discuss things we have done during the campaign, compare notes with enthusiasts in other cities and that sort of thing. Show them Duluth is still in this by chiming in with your ideas.

Aaron McLeod’s Senior Art Exhibition at the Tweed this Week

You're invited to Aaron McLeods Senior Art Exhibition

You're invited to Aaron McLeod's Senior Art Exhibition to be held at the Tweed Museum of Art this week.

Fellow citizens, it is time for Aaron’s senior exhibition. The amount of preparation and development he has put in is staggering and this promises to be one of the best examples of student work to come out of a UMD program.

The exhibition runs March 3rd-8th. Aaron invites you to attend the opening on Tuesday, March 3rd from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Tweed Museum of Art.

Don’t miss out, or you’ll miss out. So there.

Please be aware that some of the work will be rather challenging and although there are no uncensored explicit images, the show covers a wide range of imagery, subjects, and media.
