Railroading Through the Seasons: Grand-Opening Event
"Railroading Through the Seasons" is a juried exhibit featuring some of the finest train pictures from the portfolio of nationally-recognized Duluth photographer Dave Schauer. Entertainment and refreshments provided. Focusing on trains at work against a backdrop of nature throughout the year, the exhibit shows off the Northland’s many seasons. The Lake Superior Railroad Museum is located in the St. Louis County Depot in downtown Duluth. Enter through the North Shore Scenic Railroad Lobby.

Marine Sergeant James Joseph Hubert was born in Duluth in 1921. He was killed in the Battle of Tarawa in 1943 during World War II. This fundraiser to benefit the Gary New Duluth Skateboard Park features Don Ness, former mayor of Duluth, as keynote speaker. There will also be a live auction and a silent auction. Tickets are $25 and include entry in a drawing for a wine dinner for eight at Mont du Lac's Trophy Lodge. Heavy hours d'oeuvres and beer/cider tasting will be provided. Cash bar will be available.
