Event Navigation

Veterans Memorial Hall, a program of the St. Louis County Historical Society, presents its next event in the History in a Pint series. Prominent local veterans Neil Atkins and Dwight “Deac” Nelson will present “Treasures from the David Wisted Post #28.”

Atkins and Nelson are members of the historic David Wisted American Legion Post #28. Their program will inform and demonstrate portions of their most recent donation of artifacts, photographs, letters and ephemera. Also included in the post’s donation is the first Duluth Hall of Fame collection which features many prominent local leaders from 1932 onward.

The History in a Pint series features the stories of veterans and their experiences serving in the military. Audience members can enjoy a pint of beer or two from local brewers during the presentations.

Admission is free; donations are welcome. There is a cash bar. Parking is available behind the Duluth Depot complex. Follow signage for the North Shore Scenic Railway parking, accessible from Fourth Avenue West.
