Duluth Children's Museum is offering monthly Play and Learn sessions. Caregivers and children will enjoy a hands-on STEAM program, followed with museum exploration. Other early childhood development resources provided by the Northland Foundation will be available to participants. Pre-registration is not required and sessions are open for everyone.

RSOP is hosting a slackline clinic to challenge your balance, build core strength and have fun. Instructors will be on hand to teach the basics of beginning slacklining. An evening to benefit Life House Duluth featuring music, film and performances by young artists from Life House Duluth, the Music Resource Center and local schools. This event features the premiere of Light Holder, a short film documentary by Jeremy Gardner following Life House alum Jasmine Clark's journey from loss, abuse, unstable foster care and youth homelessness to stability, entrepreneurship and community activism.

Alison Aune and University of Minnesota Duluth art and education students lead art lessons for children during this 12-session course. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers free admission to all 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas on four days each year. On Free Park Days the DNR waives the requirement for a vehicle permit to enter state parks and recreation areas. The entrance fee waiver does not cover activities like camping, rentals or tours. Join the CSS String Orchestra and pianists Jessica Schroeder and Emily Valine as they perform Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, with narration by Kevin Quarmby. The program will also feature additional CSS student ensembles and kids will have an opportunity to try out various musical instruments for themselve. General admission is $7 for adults and free for all kids and students, pre-K to college, and free for Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery.

Find out more »Great Duluth Sweat Together 2024
The second annual Great Duluth Sweat Together is a communal sauna party on the edge of Lake Superior that combines sauna culture with community engagement and support for a cause. In addition to multiple mobile saunas, other activities include a Parade of Robes contest, yard games, outdoor yoga, food vendors, live music and more. Proceeds from the event will go to Bots of Another Color to support youth with autism spectrum disorder.
