Every Monday there is a maker program at the Duluth Public Library. Some of the programs will be messy, so participants are asked to wear appropriate clothes. No registration required. A MNsure-certified navigator is available every Thursday in the Partnership Center of the Duluth Public Library to provide free assistance using MNsure to sign up for health insurance. No appointment is necessary. For enrollment, bring information about household income, Social Security numbers for every person applying and any information about health insurance offered through work. This educational offering uses the magical world of circus to teach concepts like forces and motion, simple machines, matter, air power, chemical reactions and more. All of the content is researched and tried, supporting actual concepts of science. Trained by Ringling Brothers Circus, Steve Russell and Kobi Shaw’s performing skills in comedy, juggling, magic and balancing bring the dimensions of novelty, surprise and fun to the mix.

Participants (ages 13 to 16) meet on the Michigan Street Plaza at the Main Library, then head out for adventure for Ride, Read and Hammock. Transportation will be provided from the library to the location for biking, hammocking and reading. There will be a different location for each session.
