Yoga Tent at Bridge Fest this weekend

I am confident that you already have your ticket for this weekend’s outdoor music festival — Twin Ports Bridge Festival — but wanted y’all to know that there will be yoga happening most of the day (offered by Yoga North and Deep Peace Wellness) — included in the cost of the ticket.

Below is the yoga schedule for the day:

Yoga North celebrating 15 years

We have been providing yoga to the Northland for 15 years this spring! In honor of this milestone, Yoga North launched a new website today and we are having a 15-year Celebration on May 20!

Rachel Sandell Benefit class this Saturday

Please help us raise money for Rachel Sandell, a Duluth East High School student, undergoing expensive treatments for liver cancer. Jillian Holmen and Stacy Holden will be leading a women’s yoga circle at Yoga North (4628 Pitt Street, Duluth, MN) from 10a-12p on Saturday, April 23.

Mamas, daughters, sisters, aunties, grandmas, friends…of all experience and acquaintance welcome. We will move and sing, chant and pray — individually, as partners, and in group poses. Maybe cry, probably laugh, and definitely send lots and lots of love (and some money!) Rachel Sandell‘s way.

All proceeds will go in support of funding Rachel’s healing. Suggested donation of $50 per pair or pay what makes you happy. Cash, check & credit cards accepted.

Register through Yoga North or call 218-722-YOGA.

Yoga-tta sign up for the new session!

A new registration session begins March 14th (just a couple of weeks away)! This includes over 20 weekly (open and registration) classes ranging from beginning to advanced.

New Ayurveda 30-day Challenge

What do you know about Ayurveda? No matter your experience level, this 30-day challenge will deepen your knowledge in a practical way that you can incorporate into your life.

Starts this Sunday, Jan. 30. Meets once a week from 6-7:15pm until Feb. 27.

2011 Community Potluck & Open House

Yoga North invites the public to a Community Potluck & Open House on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2-5pm. This is our annual kick-off to our Winter session of classes.

Bring a dish to share along with a plate and utensils for yourself. Yoga North is located in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth in St. Michael’s Elementary School at 4628 Pitt St. in Duluth.  Enter at the far east Pitt Street door.

This is a great time to start yoga. Our Winter session of classes begins Monday, Jan. 3, including over 20 weekly classes in Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Yin and Restorative yoga. New classes include “Your Body” yoga, “Yamas & Niyamas on the Mat,” “Boundless Yoga,” and additional Hatha yoga classes added to the schedule, helping to make yoga available to everyone despite their schedules.

Come to the open house to learn more! New and returning students welcome.

Happy Duluth Winter Solstice!

A handful of yogis from Yoga North made it down to the shore this morning to welcome the sun on this special day, despite the clouds and the snow.

Thank you to all who came to share in the joy of this new day, new year, new season. Winter started with a bang. May the long time sun shine upon you!
