Superior Street and its cosmopolitan features

This postcard was mailed 110 years ago today — Aug. 12, 1907. It shows Superior Street in Downtown Duluth looking east from about Sixth Avenue West.

The back of the card offers these notes on Superior Street:

The cosmopolitan features and varied industries of Duluth give its thoroughfares a distinctiveness almost peculiar to the city. Superior Street, especially the view looking eastward and showing the noteworthy Spalding Hotel and the Lyceum Theatre, is a fine type of the more important arteries of this youthful and energetic city.

Time fascinates me. Always only the now, yet past and future having so much influence. In 10,000 days, or 27.397 years, Paul and I will be collecting social security if such a thing still exists, or possibly dead, or living in another galaxy. We're both going to outlive numerous ten year olds, which is something to think about. By the time you read this we already have.
