I’m sure we’ll see an oh-my-god-breaking-news play-by-play of this snafu in tomorrows Noos Tribune.
The problem is that the chair wasn’t actually a La-Z-Boy brand recliner. So the posting was changed and bidding has started over again.
Now it’s called a “DWI Chair, Motorized Chair, Racing Chair.”
I saw a piece on CNN International here in Germany this morning about people who have called the police to turn themselves in while driving drunk. They closed the segment with the Proctor DWI Chair, and said La-Z-Boy requested their name be removed from the auction.
I think it would be hilarious if no one bid on it this time around. “Sure, I’ll drop 40 grand on a motorized Lay-Z-Boy, but I wouldn’t spend a dime on an off-brand DWI chair.”
So did anyone else follow the link to the Obama painting? Cause that was definitely my WTF-moment for the day.
