Duluth-stämman Dance Workshop: Ringlender Schottis
During this session, Carol Sersland focuses on a schottis variation called “Ringlender” from the Røros area of Norway. The class starts off with the basics to build confidence and comfort with the movements. Upon that foundation, the swinging motions will be added, and "the real fun of the dance begins." This four-session course is focused on body mindfulness and the exploration of various methods like the Alexander Technique, reiki, kinesiology and several different dance styles. Sessions are from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on June 12, June 19, July 10 and July 24. The cost is $20 per class or pay what you can. Ecstatic dance is free-form movement inspired by music. The Ecstatic Dance Duluth group holds dances on the second Friday and last Sunday of each month. The focus is on exercise without a nightclub vibe.
