Duluth Home Products Dinner of 1912

What better night than Halloween for the Duluth Rotary Club and Duluth Chamber of Commerce to hold their Home Products Dinner of 1912? Here’s the program from 110 years ago today.

For those curious about the identity of Jean Duluth, the man whose image appears on multiple pages of the program, it seems he is a fictitious version of the person for whom Duluth is named. Despite not being real, he somehow managed to get a prominent local road -- Jean Duluth Road -- named after himself. Zenith City has the whole strange story.

Also, with Duluth having a recent resurgence in locally made products, it might be time to revive this event, so long as everyone attending understands that everyone else is going to sing - - so you must!
