Mary Bue – “Shit Storm”

Former and perhaps future Duluthian Mary Bue has a new 14-track album set for release on Aug. 21. The video for the opening track, “Shit Storm,” was directed by Jeremy Ylvisaker.

Bue, who is currently based out of Minneapolis, will be performing in Duluth the day after The World is Your Lover drops. Her livestream performance at Sacred Heart Music Center hits YouTube on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. Sonja Martin of Feeding Leroy opens the show.

Mary Bue will be performing an album release concert Saturday, Aug. 22 at Sacred Heart Music Center. Due to COVID-19 health restrictions, the event will be closed to the public but it will be streamed live on the Sacred Heart YouTube Channel.

There was a young fellow who worked at one of the grocery stores in town here who had to wear a mask for a serious condition he had long before this Covid thing started. One of the nice cashiers was bemoaning to me the fact that some mega douche soccer dad had tore into this guy that if he spread whatever he had to his kids before the big tournament, he would skull fuck the guy into eternity. Whatever he had wasn't even contagious. In time, he got better and didn't have to wear a mask anymore.

The moral of the story is that this kind fellow must now be experiencing the penultimate height of poetic justice. Because, newsflash, everyone has to wear a mask now. Whoever that dickhead dad was, and he's out there in Duluth somewhere right now. He and all his spoiled bitch kids have to wear a mask whenever they go into that store or anywhere in public. You could not make this shit up anymore comical than it is. Go underdog, go...
