Bubble Tea Company of Duluth open in Miller Hill Mall

Duluth has a Taiwanese pearl-milk tea shop. Fox 21 reports that Bubble Tea Company of Duluth opened in May at the Miller Hill Mall in the former Teavana location.

“I’m really excited to see them come and get the bubble tea,” store manager Michelle Lin told Fox 21. “I’ve heard some people say they already like the bubble tea and I’m so happy about that.”

Bubble tea is typically comprised of tea, milk and sugar, but different flavors can be substituted for milk, and sugar is optional. Toppings are also common. Fox 21 reports Bubble Tea Company of Duluth will have “flavors ranging from honeydew to strawberry to lyche.”

FYI: The froth formed when the milk tea mixture is shaken is responsible for the term “bubble tea,” not the tapioca pearls at the bottom of the drink.
