Yes this footage would be four days after the guy in the paper got his footage. Even so I was making a point to get quick shots that didn't linger underwater, I wasn't even plunging enough to pull the camera pole all the way in sometimes. It was murky. I did plunge to the bottom of the Deeps a couple weeks ago (I'm a horrible guesser of depth but it's around 10-12 feet deep). Visibility was terrible then too so I quickly scrambled out, it was like diving into a black tea and that is scary and dangerous. I hadn't expected it to be quite so low visibility or I wouldn't have charged down to the bottom like that. But it wasn't pitch black so I will scrutinize the footage I got that day and let you know if anything turns up. Ghastly.
