Alison Aune and University of Minnesota Duluth art and education students lead art lessons for children during this 12-session course. Continental Ski & Bike's 16th annual Bike Swap is a community-driven effort to re-home hundreds of bicycles while raising money for local charities. The event runs April 26-28. Representatives of Duluth Public Schools are holding meetings at all of the district's schools to help inform the public about an upcoming ballot referendum. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about the technology levy. The College of St. Scholastica Choirs’ spring concert will feature selections from the St. John Passion, commemorating the 300th anniversary of J.S. Bach's masterwork. Additionally, they will present repertoire that explores varied meanings of the word “passion” and compositions with notable poetry from a variety of genres. General admission is $7 but is free for students pre-K to college and Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery.

Iowa-based singer-songwriter Pieta Brown makes her debut on the Sacred Heart altar stage. The daughter of two preacher’s kids, Pieta Brown was brought up on traditional and rural folk music and later began writing poems and composing instrumental songs of her own on piano. Tickets are available at eventbrite.com and will also be available at the door while supply lasts. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Duluth Playhouse Underground presents Nick Payne's Constellations, a play that raises questions about the difference between choice and destiny. This story of fate and chance is a cosmic collision of romance and relativity. Actors Alyson Enderle and Jess Hughes will alternate as Marianne, while Phillip Hoelscher and Hunter Ramsden will take turns playing Roland. This dual casting not only presents a challenge for the performers but also amplifies the play's overarching themes. Tickets are available at duluthplayhouse.org.
