Outside magazine presents a free online screening of Wild Bill’s Run
By Mike Scholtz on Feb 6, 2013 in Outdoors, Videos
This is your best chance to see local documentary and Arctic crime caper Wild Bill’s Run. It’s screening on Outside’s website on Thursday evening, Feb. 7. You can watch the film anytime between 6 and 9pm (Central Time). Director Mike Scholtz will be hanging out in the comments section at the bottom of the page, waiting for people to ask him questions he can’t answer about snowmobile repair, climate change and the whereabouts of Wild Bill Cooper.

This is a fascinating story. I recommend seeing it if you can.
Don’t miss it! What a story. And what a well-done film.
Finally, something we can all agree on.
Is anyone else having trouble watching the film? I think all my stuff is enabled. I knew it was too good to be true.
Nevermind, I think I got it.
Apparently, there were some technical difficulties. Thanks for sticking with it.
Really good job on the film! What a story to bring to the world. The 45s must be pretty rare?
Hard to believe the USAF in Greenland went the route they did. What a heartbreaker that must’ve been for the crew.
Well that was a treat. I can’t believe I forgot all about Luke Aquila!
He only had one eye.
Those guys were giants among men, and their cojones were giants among cojones.
I really enjoyed this. I wish the site had a stream or a link where you could watch it regularly. I posted about it on Facebook, and multiple people inquired as to how they could watch it.
I think Zinema also showed this film recently. Zinema is always a great venue for films like this. You can check their website to see what other local films they show.
We did a couple of showings at Zinema. I love Zinema. The next vaguely local-ish showing will be at the Fargo Film Festival in March. But we’re also planning to release the film on DVD later this year. Check wildbillsrun.com with some regularity and we’ll announce details there.
