Far Par driving range and mini golf open

The Far Par golf course now has the driving range and mini golf open. No doubt the best mini golf in the Twin Ports. Noon to 7 p.m. Just west of Woodland Ave on the corner of Calvary Road and Arnold Road.

  1. Clearly not the “best,” but not bad either.

  2. How is it not the best Adam? Cause it sure ain’t the Spirit Mt. monstrosity and the one in Superior isn’t any better.

  3. Before lashing out, try clicking the link he provided. It’s the first word in his comment, clearly.

  4. De man, how is asking Adam a question “lashing out”? On my computer “clearly” doesn’t show up as something to click on. So now I’ve clicked on it and what I got is Adam referencing his own article to validate his opinion. So I should reference my original post as proof I am right? It’s all opinion and not a big deal. I am sure Adam is capable of answering for himself. Just doing a friend at the Far Par a favor, don’t really need a lot of aggravation over it. Golf where you like and enjoy.

  5. Kendahl Miniature Golf is clearly the best in the area. Captain J’s on Barker’s Island, while similar to Far Par, is slightly more dynamic and provides a better view. The folks at both are very nice.

Harbortown Mini Golf in Two Harbors and the course at Edgewater Resort & Waterpark are on the list for this summer.

We don’t talk about Spirit Mountain anymore.

  6. A moderation note here: PDD’s blogging policies specify that we frown on bogus endorsements. Please don’t recommend things as a favor; recommend things because you can’t help your impartial self.

All’s well that ends with a good discussion about a subject in general, though, so we’ll let this go.

  7. It seems I was overcritical in my analysis of BFlannagan’s endorsement. The favor he was referring to was posting that the Far Par driving range and mini golf is now open.

He says his opinion about the mini golf there is his opinion and not a bogus endorsement done as a favor.

(A slow internet connection prevents him from snapping back at me here and putting me in my place.)

    I apologize, Bill.

We do get a lot of overtly promotional posts on PDD, and we attempt to keep it in check so the site doesn’t turn into a big commercial. In trying to do what’s best we sometimes over-police things and misread intentions, however. Bygones.

  8. You can easily get big differences in temperature between Far Par and Captain J’s, though, which provides options.

  9. Mini-golf is very controversial. Tempers flare…
