The holiday favorite sparkles with spirited dance, lush sets, and authentic Edwardian-era costumes. Wheels Off Half Marathon 2021
The Wheels Off Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile run along the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior, held during the NorthShore Inline Marathon. The course begins the same as the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, but follows Interstate 35 for the last four miles, sending runners through the I-35 tunnels. The event is free to spectators. Participant fees range from $69 to $105, depending on the date of registration.

The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra presents a night of song, opening with the Negro Folk Symphony, composed by William Dawson in 1934. Dawson creates a work that is reminiscent of Dvořák’s New World Symphony, using traditional spirituals sung across the instruments in the orchestra. Then, the Symphony Chorus performs an array of choral showstoppers including Orff’s dramatic O Fortuna and Handel’s timeless Hallelujah chorus.
