Plein Air Oil-Painting Workshop

Expand the plein air toolkit and working methods with this intensive two-and-a-half-day workshop with award-winning painter Matt Kania, who will demonstrate important plein air painting skills, including how to evaluate a plein air scene, how to mix correct colors and values and how to work from palette to canvas. Go beyond basic skills and become a more confident and experienced plein air painter with both group and individual instruction to ensure a pathway toward better paintings.
Students are in charge of providing their own supplies from the list Kania has provided. The list is designed with flexibility to accommodate different budgets.
Friday, July 23: 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
