Commitment to Change: Safe Zone Training

This half-day workshop is structured around the Safe Zone Project curriculum, which helps prepare businesses and workplace culture to be better allies to LGBTQ+ clients, co-workers, friends and neighbors regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Attendees can deepen their understanding of LGBTQ+ identities, vocabulary, challenges and accomplishments. Facilitators help attendees set goals businesses to build acts of inclusion and allyship within their workplaces and with their clients.

Speakers include members of the Duluth NQT2SLGBIA Commission, city of Duluth Community Relations Officer Alicia Kozlowski, and The Transgenda Podcast creatives Cam Kruger and Ana Kruger.

Safe Zone Training is given by Lake Superior College Executive Diversity Officer Sarah Lyons as well as Lake Superior College English
Amy Jo Swing.

The workshop takes place at Lake Superior College in Hawk’s Landing. RSVP is required and can be completed through this link.
