Harbor City Roller Derby Pride Mixer
Harbor City Roller Derby is proud to present a Pride Mixer as part of Duluth-Superior Pride. Two teams made up of skaters from across the region will battle it out at Duluth Heritage Center. The doors open at 4:00 PM, with the action starting at 5:00 PM.
Choose a side, Team ROY or Team G BIV, and get ready for an afternoon of hard hits and great vibes. Wear rainbow gear and glitter (optional… but encouraged). Tickets are available at the door or online This is a ASL interpreted event.
RollerDames end the season with energy
… if not with victory.
The Dames lost both bouts. But more importantly, we Rollerdames fans are losing some familiar faces. The following Dames are retiring this year: SoKo Rebel, Wright Around Ya, Killah Cleta, Lady Gotcha, Nasty Fantastic, Hook N Splatter, Janet Smackson, Jilly Willy, Crumpet Crusher, Little Miss Spooky.
I am surely a fan of the Dames, but the first time I met these athletes at Buffalo Wild Wings, I got shivers. They are really, really good at their sport, and they are really, really good as a team. Dames fans will miss them.
Rollerdames Crashing into Charity
Today the Harbor City Roller Dames will bring dinner to LifeHouse in Duluth. LifeHouse is an organization that serves homeless youth in our community. It provides a place for them to be and access to resources. In addition, the HCRD will present a pledge check toward the “Adopt a Kid” program which will provide services to a youth for one full year.
I’m a fan of HCRD, and I have several friends who work, who give their personal and professional lives to LifeHouse. This is great to see.
