Every year, faculty, students and guest choreographers offer a variety of dance styles and interpretations around a chosen theme to showcase the talent of the University of Duluth Minnesota's dance community. Full Schedule of Shows: Dec. 1 | 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 | 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 | 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students or children, $10 for UMD students, and $20 for seniors, UMD faculty, staff and veterans. This annual holiday classic with a Duluth twist features the Minnesota Ballet's professional and student dancers performing with a live orchestra playing the Tchaikovsky score. Performances run Dec. 8-10. Synopsis: While on a holiday trip, young Clara has an enchanting dream of her beloved nutcracker doll coming to life. There has been murder! The victim is Samantha Jingle, famous for her holiday hotdish and love of bird sweaters. Jingle was found in her home on Clause Way, right here in Duluth, with a burning hotdish in the oven. The suspects have been assembled. Sundown on the Jasper County Jewel
Bold-choice Theatre has written an original musical, Sundown on the Jasper County Jewel. Jasper County once had the most illustrious Honkytonk venue in all the country, but years of wear and changing times have put “The Jewel” on the verge of ruin. Through original songs and music, storytelling and reflection, BOLD-choice tells the fictional story of the once-famed Country Western Theatre. Bold-choice Theatre actors are primarily folks proudly living with disabilities.

There has been an untimely death at a country manor, everyone is a suspect and an inspector is on the case to find who the murderer is. This 1920's whodunit has a corpse that cannot stay still, props that break, random things falling off the set, fights amongst the cast and crew and just about anything else that could go wrong.

The Duluth Playhouse presents Ken Ludwig's stage adaptation of one of the most popular mysteries of all time, Agatha Christie'sMurder on the Orient Express. Performances run Jan. 26 to Feb. 4.
