This class at Whole Foods Co-op - Denfeld teaches how to make ice cream using old-fashioned techniques. Ice and salt will be used to compare two batches of ice cream: one batch is hand churned and the other uses an electric mixer. Participants will be taught about the chemistry of the process and create two flavors: vanilla and mint chocolate chip.

Mix Cosmetiques hosts a make and take mineral eyeshadow class. Multiple times are available to sign up for a one hour class available Jun 19 to Jun 22. Participants will make their own eyeshadow and experiment with over 100 colors to blend. Participants will take home 3 colors (included in the class fee) or, for $7 more, participants can upgrade to get 4 colors.

UMD Large Lakes Observatory invites the public to tour the research vessel (R/V Blue Heron). Learn and play with robots. Participants will be introduced to coding with various, easy-to-program robots. These little bots open up the creative side of coding, while promoting problem-solving skills, communication, and teamwork.
