Duluth International Regatta
The 64th annual Duluth International Regatta attracts more than 400 rowers from the Midwest and Canada. Spectators bring their lawn chairs and watch the races on the shore of the Rowing Center.

This 60-minute yoga flow session focuses on breathing and stretching. Participants can choose to have a cool lavender cloth placed over their eyes for the final ten minutes. This class is suitable for all activity levels. Attendees should bring a yoga mat and a water bottle.

Presented by UMD RSOP. Begin every session with a Yoga sequence warm-up, followed by a series of high-intensity exercises using equipment like battle ropes, medicine balls, kettlebells and resistance bands. Meetings take place on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. and will run through August. The first session will take place at Lester Park but future meetings will be sent out via email. The Park Point 5-Miler is northern Minnesota’s oldest road race. The 53rd annual race starts near the Park Point Pavilion in Duluth and participants run down Minnesota Avenue before finishing back near the pavilion. Participants have the choice of a 5-mile run or a 2-mile walk. There are also Kids’ Races again this year, which are free and open to ages 14 and under. Duluth Folk School presents this three-hour Forest Bathing and Food experience, offering the opportunity to connect with "the more-than-human world that surrounds us." On the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, 2nd Half-ers meet at Evergreen Community Center from 3-4 p.m. Parks and Recreation Program Course #3583 for 55+ The informal get togethers are intended to grow connections and friendships. And sincere discussions aimed at eliminating isolation and loneliness. Coffee and tea are available. Registration is not required, and drop-ins are okay.

Presented by the St. Louis River Alliance and University of Minnesota-Duluth Recreation Sports Outdoor Program. All gear will be provided, including lifejackets, canoes and paddles. No prior paddle experience necessary. During this event, attendees will learn how to properly fit and wear a life jacket and the basics of cold-water safety and paddle-stroke skills.

This course focuses on body mindfulness in a safe, supportive environment. Participants can explore various methods like the Alexander Technique, reiki, kinesiology and several different dance styles. This class is $20 or pay-what-you-can. It is recommended to wear athletic/nonrestrictive clothing and contemporary/jazz shoes are encouraged but not required. No dance or movement experience is required. This class is best for adults.

Hartley Nature Center hosts every Thursday through August 29th. Social Pedal is a mountain-bike ride that is designed specifically for beginners.
