David Bazan Living Room Show

Indie rock superhero David Bazan is playing two shows in Duluth on his current living room tour.  [EDIT: Both shows are sold out! No tickets will be available at the door. Thanks!]

Tischer Creek – 6:30am

Fiber in Duluth – What’s the haps?

Since this summer, I’ve seen several large, blaze orange coils of fiber optic cable being installed throughout the city. As of today I spotted some by Holy Rosary and up near Home Depot on Central Entrance.

Does anyone know if our Google overlords are trying to pull a fast one on us? Were area ISPs startled into actually building out their networks up here? Please tell me I’ll be browsing the Internet at satisfyingly fast speeds in the near future.

Duluth Handyman/woman?

Instead of exclusively perusing Craigslist, I thought I’d put a question to the friendly community of PDDers.

Can anyone please recommend a handyman and/or woman who could help me with my inability to properly execute seemingly simple home repair tasks?

Daytrotter in Wrenshall?

Why isn’t anyone talking about this? I ran across it by accident and I think it’s awesome. (Though I’ll sadly be out of town.)

Volunteers Needed – 7/10!

The Morley Heights playground project is moving forward quickly! On Saturday, July 10, our equipment will be delivered to the park and we will need plenty of volunteers to help us assemble it.

We are planning two assembly shifts for the 10th. The first will run from 8am to noon and the second from 1pm to 5pm. No previous construction experience necessary – we just need lots of people power.

If you want to help out, please email me (mickeypearson @ gmail.com) and indicate your availability for that weekend.

Many thanks for your interest and help!
