The Duluth Chamber sent an e-mail out to members and property owners this morning "warning" them about this, so I knew about it. Here's an excerpt:

"...This could cause some concern by citizens or businesses as the individuals are dressed as zombies and could have props that resemble real weapons. The hours of the event are posted between 1:00-6:00pm today.

Please know that the Police Department is also aware of this potential event."

But the short answer to your question is: We're not young enough (most of us).

The group of five kids in the upper leftish of the pic walked past the shop this afternoon. I can only assume that they were headed to this event ... couldn't quite figure out what the duct tape over the mouth was for.

I get it now. Sort of. I think.

Just so long as they stay the hell off my lawn, they can do what they please.

I bet those dern teenagers have their own secret version of PDD that us non-teens aren't aware of, and that we couldn't possibly understand how to use.

Teen Duluth Zombies are nothing new to PDD. I hear that nerf weapons stop fake zombies.

@sjixxy the "secret" they have is called Twitter, and YouTube and texting.

They also have a video of last year's event.

It was mostly high school kids and they are a clandestine bunch for the most part.

I was having a pretty serious meeting with my boss, when I took a glance out of the window and a horde of young zombies walked past. This meeting did not continue in a serious tone afterward. Thanks zombies!
