In a Patch of Goldenrods
A native-plant presentation by naturalist and author Larry Weber, who recently authored the book In a Patch of Goldenrods. Weber will discuss his notes, photography and findings during late-summer wanderings through patches of Goldenrods in the Northland. Forest Assisted Migration Project Presentation

Presentation on Native Bees
Claire Lande will be discussing native bees of the region and an unusual natural phenomenon observed for over 100 years, the mortality of bumble bees beneath linden trees. Claire Lande is an entomologist and operates a small farm located outside Duluth, MN, where she grows native perennials for pollinators alongside food for humans.
