Traditional Figure Drawing with Heidi Blunt

Working from the nude model students in this class will draw the human form from direct observation to build up skills essential to the elements of life drawing, including anatomy, proportion, volume, composition, gesture, and the accurate and expressive use of line and tone are addressed to provide a focus for increasing skill. With a shared emphasis on traditional and non-traditional drawing techniques, participants will experiment with a variety of wet and dry materials, which may include charcoal, pastels, ink and water-based paints. The course will also include time for feedback from peers and the instructor in group critique sessions.

There are three sessions held on Wednesday nights, Feb. 9, 16 and 23. The cost is $80 for Duluth Art Institute members and $95 for non-members. Register online at duluthartinstitute.org.

Proof of vaccination is required to participate in this class. On the first day of class students must present their vaccine card or a copy of it and a form of identification. Masks will be required.
