Minnesota author Patti Isaacs will be reading from her book “The Second Long March,” which chronicles life lived on the cusp of that country’s economic change in 1981 and the stunning contrasts experienced by her Chinese friends and their city once that transformation was well underway in 2005. Through personal stories, it presents Chinese culture and traditions as they have been altered—or not—by radical change.
Isaacs will be reading from her book and taking audience questions at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 in the Green Room of the Duluth Public Library, 520 West Superior Street, Duluth.
