Introduction to Community Rug Felting

Community Rug Felting is a tradition in cultures all over the world. The common thread is that people come together to make something of beauty to give away as celebration of different stages of life such as births, weddings, retirement and deaths.

Working in teams of 2-4, each table will create a unique wet felted wall hanging, placemat or small rug using pre-felts (partially felted sheets of wool). Each team will make one wet felted piece using 3-5 different colors and design features (approximately 12 x 15 inch finished size).
All materials will be provided.
