Ground Breaking Ceremony for Fairmount Cottages

Housing and Redevelopment of Duluth is the host of this ground breaking ceremony for the Fairmount Cottage Development in Duluth’s Fairmount section of West Duluth.

Fairmount Cottages will be 18 units of mixed income rental housing made up of a combination of 50 percent, 80 percent, 90 percent and 100 percent area median income households.

This is the first ARPA-funded project to break ground in Duluth, and is estimated to be completed and ready for occupancy by the end of the summer of 2023.

Those interested in learning more about Fairmount Cottages are encouraged to attend this event at the future location of the development on the corner of Redruth Street and South 71st Avenue West.

Community partners that have made this possible include the city of Duluth, Fryberger Law Firm, Northland Securities, Northland Homes/Dirt, Inc., and North Shore Bank.

Funding for Fairmount Cottages includes $1.5 million of HRA funds; $1.15 million from the city of Duluth through its American Rescue Plan Act fund allocation; and $2.5 million in housing revenue bonds from North Shore Bank.
