First Generation Celebration

UW-Superior’s TRIO programs are highlighting students, faculty and staff that are the first in their family to attend college — nearly half of UW-Superior students are the first in their families to attend college.

The celebration begins in the Swenson Hall Atrium with a reception at 3 p.m. followed by a first-generation group photo at 3:30 p.m. Events will then move to Swenson Hall’s Erlenbach Lecture Hall at 4 p.m. for presentations. Before the celebration concludes, TRIO McNair and TRIO Student Support Services will share their personal experiences with Upward Bound students, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Erlenbach Lecture Hall.
