Developing Better Oil Painting with Matt Kania

This weekly art class allows students to focus on advanced techniques of traditional oil painting such as painting with a palette knife, creating an oil rendering in grisaille, building color and luminosity with glazing, mixing colors directly on the canvas and painting alla prima.

Matt Kania will demonstrate each painting method and explain the importance of adding these skills to an oil painting repertoire.
