Presented online by AICHO. Arne Vainio, MD, a Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe tribal citizen and family-practice physician, provides a virtual demonstration on making apaakozigan (traditional tobacco made from the inner bark of red willow). He will also teach about harvesting, processing and the cultural and spiritual significance of akawe asemaa (first tobacco). Q&A afterward.
