AICHO Galleries presents “Indigenous,” artwork by Shaun Chosa, Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa citizen and painter, who uses historical photographs and sepia tone images and transforms them into color paintings with pop cultural themes and iconography. At this market, learn how to make traditional manoomin (wild rice) ricing knockers, demonstrated by 1854 Treaty Authority. American Indian Community Housing Organization is distributing 200 bags of food, household essentials, personal protective equipment and COVID-19 health information on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is needed. People are asked to wear a face mask and enter through the front door at 102 E. Fourth St. to pick up food and supply bags. Assistance bringing the bags to cars is available. Check AICHO’s website or Facebook page for updates in case of cancellations or postponements.
