25th Anniversary of Gloria Dei Becoming a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Congregation

To celebrate its 25th anniversary of becoming a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation this year, the Rev. Dr. Barbara Lundblad will be a guest preacher. She is Professor Emerita of Preaching at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, lives in Minneapolis and continues to be a commentator and presenter in preaching circles.
Prof. Lundblad will be preaching at the worship service and also giving a presentation in the afternoon beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the importance of being a welcoming congregation today for LGBTQIA+ inclusion. A freewill offering will support Reconciling Works.
The afternoon will also include opportunities to network with others, hear from Pr. Ellen Taube about Reconciling Works and the process of becoming a Reconciling in Christ congregation, and hear from Pr. Jeff Davis about the work of the Northeastern MN Synod ELCA’s Welcome and Reconciliation Team. All are welcome.
