Noon Year’s Eve at the Library
Kids in second grade and younger are invited to celebrate the New Year at noon instead of midnight. Attendees should drop in anytime between 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for dancing, crafts, snacks and games. Kids can also count down to the noon balloon drop.

Glitterati Events presents this Gatsby-themed New Year's Eve extravaganza at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. There will be a silent auction in support of Ronald McDonald House-Northland, with coat-check services provided by the organization. New Salty Dog and Sugar Lads: The Happiness Galore Show
Duluth band New Salty Dog plays funky sounds and Winona-based Sugar Lads have an experimental groove. The Sugar Lads kick off the night at 8 p.m. followed by New Salty Dog at 9:15 p.m. Johnny B's New American Cuisine will feature meals using local, seasonal and organic ingredients.

Randy Lee Band with be playing a 2 hour set of Tango music at the masonic center of Duluth in the Scottish Rite Auditorium. Argentine dance lesson at 6:30 p.m. Music and open dancing starts at 7. Put on those bobby socks and slick back your hair, Todd Eckart and his band return to bring the sounds of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper and more hit makers of the late 1950s to the stage.
