Support the Duluth Public Library

Support the public library at the Duluth City Council Meeting.
Please join us on Monday, Aug. 15, when we again attend the council meeting. We’ll gather at 6:30 p.m. outside the Council Chambers at City Hall. Please come and help to support our coordinated campaign to keep the Duluth Public Library a top priority for city funding. The message is, “Our libraries are essential!”

Summer Arts Festival, book sale by Friends of the Library

Meet us at the Summer Arts Festival! On Saturday, July 30, the Depot celebrates with a Summer Arts Festival, and you will find your Friends out helping. Michigan Street will be turned into a temporary pedestrian mall and you’ll find food vendors, live entertainment, fine arts and crafts, and the Friends selling books, media, and T-shirts reminding people that “Our Libraries are Essential.”

Videocassette Sale

Monday, April 25, and Tuesday, April 26, all day. Please join the Friends of the Library for this videocassette sale held at the downtown Duluth library.

BN Book Fair for Friends of the Library

Book fair to benefit Friends of the Library, 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 at Barnes & Noble.

9:30-11 a.m. Music by Terence Smith and friends,
1-4 p.m. Crafts for kids – stamp and scrap cards, snowflakes, gift tags from recycled cards & wrap, write letters to troops.
4 p.m. Story Hour with Mary Linda Sather

Holidays Book Sale

The Friends of the Library are holding their “Littlest Sale of the Holidays” again this year:  Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 7-8, 10 am-3 pm at the Duluth Public Library, 520 W. Superior St.  Shop for new and like-new books for adults and children.

The Littlest Holidays Sale

Sale to benefit the Duluth Public Library.  Mark your calendars!  We are trying our highly successful Holiday Sale again this year.  We will be at the Main Library on the Superior Street level on Monday, Dec. 7, 12-4 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. (or until we run out of things to sell).  We will be offering Book Lover’s calendars, Holiday related books on cooking, crafts, and decorating, children’s stories and novels.  There will be Holiday music and films, and a select variety of better books that will make great gifts.
