Paul, this band has spirit, joy de viver, humor, a certain something... which proves to be a strikingly elusive quality for 99.9 percent of all other bands out there today. They don't seem to be too concerned about what people think, or being cool, which perhaps lends a certain credence to their authenticity, and you're just so un-used to experiencing this, you're dumbfounded.

Finally got a chance to watch this:
They are so cute! Are they local?

Ahh, I've had this song stuck in my head all day!!! Cute band name, but it makes it nigh impossible to hunt them down via google.

That's why it will be helpful when someone finally comes along and, as instructed above, tells us everything about this band.

Paul~ Let me inform you about this band... remember running through the yard or woods when you were young, and not having a care in the world, that is what this band reminds me of. These ladies are not about the money or fame. They are playing music for the sake of laughs and having fun. It is a great break from the everyday stigma of area bands trying to make this form of art a day job. The hustle and bustle of trying to make a buck off your music is stopped at the door and the energy of this band will remind people that life is too short to take everything seriously. Go see a carebears carebears yeah show and you will not be disappointed.

I was looking for something a little more substantial, like who they are, where they're from and when they are playing again.

How will we know when the next show is? Is there a website listing? If not, please add the next show to the PDD calendar.

The most substantial information I can give you is that they play randomly at Beaner's Central in Duluth. They are all from the Duluth area. There names I won't give out because I feel I'm not in the position to, but if you really want to know, Paul, I think you have access to the 2013 Homegrown rejection list. (Which they are on and are probably writing a song about right now) ... hope that helps.

Thanks. That is the most vital info I was looking for: 1) They are local. 2) They will likely play a gig near me in the future.

Through my work producing the Homegrown Field Guide I do have archived e-mail of band registrations galore, but I can't find, nor do I remember ever seeing, that one.

That show was for Beaner's anniversary and Jason had past and present employees of Beaners playing. It is my understanding that the singer is or was at one time an employee at Beaners. I was at the show, their other songs were silly/fun like this one. The bass player plays in other bands I've seen at homegrown and judging from her reactions during the video, may not have known the lyrics to this particular song very well. In the end, Jason would definitely have more info about them.

I will be there, provided I can con someone into working for me that evening.

Hey Dorkus, what are you up to?
