Whipper Snapper Races for Kids
The Whipper Snapper kids' races are held each year in Duluth’s Bayfront Festival Park on Grandma’s Marathon weekend. These races are free and open to children age 14 and under. The fourth annual Festival by the Lake features food, live music, a children’s fun area, product and service displays, shopping, demonstrations, arts and crafts, beer and other exhibits of interest. Gates open at 11 a.m. Admission is $5, which benefits the Bluebird Foundation, a nonprofit that awards grants and scholarships to regional high-school-age students in the performing arts.
