Lost Spaces in Duluth

I just wanted to put a general question out there for those that know the city better than me:

What are some existing abandoned buildings you know of in Duluth? (Including places that are in the works of being renovated, or even really unique, big interior spaces that aren’t abandoned).

Whatever you do, don't shoot a music video in the crumbling Armory. Even if the talent is just lip synching, he or she would probably kick over and die from breathing in pigeon dung after about five minutes of shooting.

Actually, it would be a good location for something similar to Low's "Over the Ocean" video and it would be interesting if the singer had a dust mask on.

The old "Recyclabell" building on E 1st st and 18th(?) Ave. It's empty and for sale.

No buildings with four walls, but a hauntingly beautiful pavilion in Chambers Grove (far, far, far west Duluth, past Gary, New Duluth...), or under the bridge or up 131st Ave West into the park with steep hills on either side of you... or along 210...
These are outdoor spaces, but the acoustics are in the valley.  You are invited to explore on your own or request assistance from one of our local 'tour guides'!  : )

I don't live in Duluth anymore but recently I saw a 4-5 story building on E. First or E. Third -- I think it was a phone company building -- that looks empty.  How about the building on Third Avenue West above First Street up the hill across from the Board of Trade? Has anything been in there in the past 75 years?

That's probably the Recyclabell buidling. I don't know of anything that's been there other than a few awesome punk shows about 15 years back.

Does it have to be Duluth only? I can think of a couple in Superior ... specifically the Carnegie Library on Hammond.
