National Lutheran Choir
Under Director David Cherwien, NLC sings Johann Sebastian Bach’s "Ein feste Burg ist Unser Gott" (“A Mighty Fortress is Our God”), based on one of most well-known Lutheran hymns, composed by Martin Luther nearly 500 years ago. Bach’s cantata highlights this program of early Lutheran choral music which includes works by Johann Walther, Heinrich Schütz and others.

Naantali Chamber Choir
The Naantali Chamber Choir perform a variety of Finnish choral music. The theme of the concert is “The Four Seasons of Finland" and includes "songs from summer to fall and from the darkness of winter to the light of spring." The Naantali Chamber Choir was founded in 1978 and has 30 singers. First Lutheran Church welcomes all to be a “Finn for a Day” at the 30th Annual FLC Lutefisk Dinner. This widely-celebrated Nordic dish has been served at First Lutheran for thirty years and now comes with meatball and salmon options for those lacking the sisu to indulge in this traditional delicacy. Menu items will also include the ever-popular lefse made with love by volunteers in Bea Ojakangas’s Lefse Lounge. Traditional homemade breads and lingonberry sundaes, too.

Twin Ports Wind Orchestra: The Celebrations of Our Lives
Twin Ports Wind Orchestra's “The Celebrations of Our Lives” will feature music that honors celebrations. The symphonic masterpiece “La Fiesta Mexicana” by H. Owen Reed is a musical description of the traditional celebrations from Mexico. TPWO will also feature Michael Daughtery’s “Niagara Falls” and “A Movement for Rosa” by Mark Camphouse. New Wine, a musical drama ministry of Zion Lutheran Church in Cloquet, presents the musical Les Misérables at First Lutheran Church in Duluth. Who We Are

A group of local string musicians present the American string quartet by Antonin Dvorak, Mozart's String Quintet No.4 in G Minor and Five Folksongs in Counterpoint by Florence Price. Arrowhead Chorale's spring concert features the world premiere of a new setting of Messiah: An American Oratorio, by Los Angeles-based composer Severin Behnen, dedicated to the victims of torture in the 21st century.
